A pipeline fire in Khuzestan province prompted temporary road closures and the evacuation of Salehabad on Monday, May 6. The Ahvaz-Omidiyeh pipeline reportedly caught fire after maintenance workers pierced the line, causing a leak. Firefighters temporarily closed the road between Ahvaz and Omidiyeh before extinguishing the associated fire.
