Activists are planning to hold demonstrations in Dallas (Texas state) to protest a visit by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Wednesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 16. A protest is scheduled for Wednesday at 16:30 (local time) at the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth in downtown Dallas. A second protest is planned on Thursday from 11:00 to 14:00 at the Old Parkland campus, where Bolsonaro is scheduled to receive the "Person of the Year" award from the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce. Localized disruptions, including heightened security measures and transportation disruptions, are likely.
