Unidentified militants detonated two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Kathmandu on Sunday, May 26, killing at least three people. According to local sources, an IED detonated at a residence in Ghattekuolo area, killing one person, while another explosive device detonated in the Sukedhara area, killing two others. Unconfirmed sources claim the attacks may have been politically motivated. 

Similar attacks are possible in the area over the near term.
