Former Lebanese soldiers are reportedly protesting outside the Presidential Palace in Baabda as of Monday, May 27, to denounce alteration of current pension agreements as the government is meeting to approve the draft 2019 austerity budget. Protesters reportedly blocked the road leading to the palace.

Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration.
