Chinese vice-president Wang Qisha is making an official three-day visit to Pakistan, notably in Islamabad and Lahore, from Sunday, May 26, to Tuesday, May 28, to discuss bilateral cooperation, notably on the development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which will connect Paksitan's Gwadar Port in Balochistan with China's Xinjiang province. As such, a heightened security presence and associated traffic disruptions, including temporary traffic restrictions and road closures, are likely over the coming hours and days, in Islamabad and Lahore.
