Roadblocks and protest activity have been reported in Port-au-Prince on Monday, May 27. Local sources report demonstrators have erected road barricades on John Brown Avenue near Juvenat and on a bridge between Tabarre and Croix-des-Bouquets. A sit-in demonstration has also been reported outside the University of Haiti Faculté d'Ethnologie as of Monday afternoon. 

A heightened security presence and traffic disruptions are likely near all protest sites. The risk of further violence cannot be ruled out.


Individuals in Haiti are advised to monitor developments to the situation, avoid all protests and demonstrations as a precaution, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
