Vehicle-for-hire drivers - known locally as "VTC" - are calling for a nationwide strike to take place on Tuesday, May 28. In Bordeaux, related "go slow" operations are expected to take place starting from 08:00 (local time) from the Chaban-Delmas bridge to the prefecture building, located in the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade.

Similar actions are to be expected nationwide and associated protests are possible, which are likely to result in significant traffic disruptions across the country.


Travelers in France are advised to allow extra time to reach their destinations and to avoid all demonstrations.
