Supporters of Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu will hold a political rally in front of the Presidential Office Building in Taipei on Saturday, June 1. Organizers claim an estimated 100,000 people will attend the rally along Ketagalan Boulevard in the capital's Zhongzheng district, where Han is expected to announce his candidacy for president. Heightened security measures are expected along with localized transportation disruptions.
