Taoyuan Flight Attendants Union (TFAU) members working with EVA Air are preparing to strike in early June as negotiations with the airline have failed to reach a settlement as of Thursday, May 30. Union members are currently voting on whether to hold a strike, with tallies scheduled to be announced on Thursday, June 6. Flight disruptions are expected in the event of a strike, particularly around the Dragon Boat Festival from Friday, June 7, to Sunday, June 9. TFAU also stated they are willing to "take to the streets" on Tuesday, June 4. Protests and associated disruptions are possible on Tuesday and during a possible strike.

EVA Air is the second largest Taiwanese carrier with 79 aircraft serving 64 destinations globally.
