Metro officials in Sydney announced at approximately 14:53 (local time) on Friday, May 31, that service at Macquarie Park station has been suspended. Trains are not stopping at the station after a fire alarm was activated. Buses have been requested to replace trains between Macquarie University, Macquarie Park, and North Ryde. However, trains are still stopping at other stations along the North West line. Associated transportation disruptions are expected in the coming hours.
