Several communities in Tolima department were cut off following a landslide on Saturday, June 1. Disaster officials declared emergencies in the municipalities of Líbano, Villa Hermosa, and Chaparral following heavy rains that caused the landslide. At least three people were injured in the San Pablo-Ambeima area, while thousands of families were also reportedly cut off from the roads. Efforts are reportedly underway to clear the roads, however, significant transportation disruptions are to be expected in the area in the near term.


Individuals traveling in the affected areas are advised to monitor the situation, allow additional time to reach their destinations, and adhere to instructions issued by local authorities.
