Wildfire prompts residents to evacuate their homes in three moshavim near Jerusalem June 4; blaze brought under control and residents permitted to return home

A wildfire prompted residents of three moshavim near Jerusalem - Even Sapir, Ora, and Aminadav - to evacuate their homes on Tuesday, June 4. Firefighters brought the blaze under control and permitted residents to return to their homes later in the day. Another wildfire near Lifta reportedly caused the temporary closure of Menachem Begin Highway from Golda Meir Boulevard.

Residual disruptions are possible in the affected areas over the coming hours. Further wildfires may prompt similar disruptions in the Jerusalem area over the near term.  


Individuals in the Jerusalem area are advised to monitor developments, avoid the affected areas, prepare for residual disruptions, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
