On Wednesday, June 5, the National Civil Protection System issued weather warnings for the provinces of Panamá Oeste, Coclé, Herrera, and Los Santos due to heavy rain, lightning, and strong wind gusts. Inclement weather conditions are expected to persist through Friday, June 7.

Consequent disruptions - including power outages, telecommunications disruptions, road closures, and adverse driving conditions - are possible in the affected provinces over the coming hours.

Remember that running water can be dangerous - 15 cm (6 in) is enough to knock over an adult.
