An ongoing student protest has been reported outside the Ministry of Education in Beirut as of Tuesday, June 11. Protesters have gathered at 10:00 (local time) to denounce the failure of their schools to receive official nomination cards for the final exams. Students reportedly blocked the road from the UNESCO office to the Ministry of Education, which leads to the Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY).

A heightened security presence along with traffic disruptions are likely over the coming hours.
