An extensive power cut has reportedly led to the cancellation and delays of several trains on the Antwerp-Brussels rail line as of Thursday, June 13, as only two out of four railways are currently operating. Half of the trains between the two cities have been canceled. It is unclear when the incident will be resolved and the railway infrastructure company Infrabel warned the disruptions are likely to persist throughout the day.
Residual rail disruptions are to be expected on the Brussels-Antwerp rail line in the coming hours.
Individuals traveling between Brussels and Antwerp are advised to monitor the situation, anticipate residual rail delays, cancelations, and congestion, and maintain a flexible itinerary.
