Flight operations have been temporarily suspended at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) on the afternoon (local time) of Saturday, June 15, due to a disabled aircraft on the runway. United Airlines flight UA627 made a hard landing at EWR, reportedly resulting in fuselage damage. Passengers aboard the aircraft have been safely deplaned, according to airport authorities.

Lingering flight delays are to be expected at EWR over the coming hours as the airport works to restore normal flight operations.
