Hospital support staff with SIPTU union will hold a 24-hour strike on Thursday, June 20, likely resulting in health care disruptions. An estimated 10,000 workers at 38 hospitals will participate in the strike, which will begin at 08:00 (local time). Five more strikes are planned in the coming weeks if negotiations with the Workplace Relations Commission do not result in an agreement.
