Members of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union (SWADNU) will reportedly stage a nationwide strike on Friday, June 21, to denounce health care personnel shortages and highlight salary grievances, among other issues. 

On Wednesday, June 26, SWADNU will reportedly join the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT), National Public Service and Allied Workers Union (NAPSAWU), and other labor unions representing public sector workers in a nationwide strike to call for salary increases, among other issues. Associated demonstrations are also likely in urban areas.

Heightened security measures and traffic disruptions are to be expected around protest sites. Associated business disruptions are also possible.
