The "Aar Li Nu Bokk" civil society group is calling for another peaceful demonstration in the capital Dakar on Friday, June 21. Supporters are being asked to gather on Boulevard du General de Gaulle from 15:00 until 18:30 (local time). The group has called on supporters to rally against President Macky Sall's alleged involvement in a petroleum sector corruption scandal and to call for greater transparency in the government's efforts to exploit the country's natural resources.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are anticipated in the area. Similar protests are possible in the coming weeks.

Individuals in Dakar are advised to monitor the situation, avoid any public demonstrations as a precaution, and anticipate localized traffic disruptions and a heightened security presence near demonstration sites.
