Various LGBT groups will hold a Pride parade in Toronto (Ontario province) on Sunday, June 23, to support equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. The parade will begin at 14:00 (local time) from the intersection of Church and Bloor streets and continue on Yonge Street, Dundas Street, to Victoria Street. Toronto Pride organizers have released a map of all events and associated road closures here.
Heightened security measures and associated traffic disruptions are expected around all Pride events. Counter-demonstrations cannot be ruled out.
Individuals in Toronto are advised to remain vigilant, follow instructions issued by local authorities, and avoid all gatherings as a precaution.
