Emergency response crews continue to work in Sihanoukville (Sihanoukville province) at the site of a building collapse as of Monday, June 24. Officials raised the death toll to 24 and estimate a similar number of people have been injured. No further survivors are expected to be rescued. Localized disruptions are expected to persist near the scene of the accident in the coming days.


An under-construction building collapsed on Saturday, June 22. An estimated 50 people were on site at the time of the incident.


Individuals in Sihanoukville are advised to avoid the area, anticipate localized transportation disruptions and heightened presence of emergency personnel.
