Unions representing civil servants have called for a 96-hour strike to take place from Tuesday, June 25, to Friday, June 28. According to local sources, the strike has been organized by unions to demand better working conditions. A related march to the prime minister's office is expected to take place in Ouagadougou on Wednesday, June 26, starting at 10:30 (local time). An increased security presence and localized transportation disruptions are to be expected in the vicinity of any gatherings.


Individuals in Ouagadougou are advised to avoid all associated protests, as even peaceful demonstrations can turn violent with little notice.
