Individuals associated with the Coalition for the Defense of the Constitution and Democracy are slated to protest proposed constitutional reform in Santo Domingo on Wednesday, June 26, at the National Congress as of 09:00 (local time). The group is opposing a proposal to remove presidential term limits, which is largely advocated by President Danilo Medina's supporters. President Medina is currently serving his second term in office.

A heightened security presence is expected near all protests. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.

Individuals in Santo Domingo are advised to avoid all protests as a precaution, monitor the situation, anticipate a heightened security presence, and obey instructions issued by the local authorities.
