Various Finnish LGBTQI+ groups are planning to hold a Pride march in Helsinki on Saturday, June 29, to support equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. The march will start at 13:00 (local time) at Senate Square and end in Kaivopuisto Park. Heightened security measures and associated traffic disruptions are expected around the Pride march. Counter-protests by conservative elements are also possible during the celebrations.
Individuals in Helsinki are advised to remain vigilant, report suspicious objects and behavior to the police, follow instructions issued by local authorities, and avoid all gatherings as a precaution.
