Various Hungarian LGBT groups are planning to hold a Pride march in Budapest on Saturday, July 6, to support equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people. The march will take place at Kossuth Lajos Square and will begin at 15:00 (local time).

Heightened security measures and associated traffic disruptions are expected around the Pride march. Counter-protests by conservative elements are also possible during the celebrations.  


Individuals in Budapest are advised to remain vigilant, report suspicious objects and behavior to the police, follow instructions issued by local authorities, and avoid all gatherings as a precaution.
