A pipeline in Lagos state explodes on July 4, killing at least two people

According to local sources, at least two people were killed following a pipeline explosion in Lagos State on Thursday, July 4. The explosion took place along the Ijegun axis located in the Satellite town district of Lagos. An unspecified number of injuries have also been reported. Nearby buildings and shops were also burnt. The death toll is likely to rise in the coming hours as officials investigate the incident. Security forces have been deployed in the area. Traffic disruptions are also expected.
