The Cub Transporti union is calling for a 24-hour strike by public transport employees in Milan on Thursday, July 11. The strike is expected to affect the Milan Transport Authority (ATM) network as well as Northeast Transport Services (NET), which include tram, subway and bus services.
Furthermore, Trenord employees, the railway company responsible for regional passenger trains in the Lombardy region, have announced their intention to carry out a strike action beginning at 03:00 (local time) on Sunday, July 14, until 02:00 on Monday, July 15.
Significant congestion is expected during the strikes, along with increased demand for taxi and increased traffic congestion.
