Event

Members of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD) political group are gathering on Friday, July 12, in Santo Domingo to rally to oppose a proposal to change the presidential term limit. The rally will be led by the leader of the party, Luis Abinader, who called the rally for Friday because a new meeting was called on the matter. Associated transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are possible near all protests. Clashes between demonstrators and security forces cannot be ruled out.
