An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in Muang district (Kanchanaburi province) on Friday, July 12, wounding three civilians. According to military officials, the device was detonated remotely by the assailants and targeted road-safety personnel traveling on a road near Benang Sareng mukim. 

No claim of responsibility was immediately reported; unconfirmed reports claim Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) was behind the attack. Similar attacks are possible in Kanchanaburi province over the near term.  


Individuals in the affected area are advised to monitor developments to the situation, remain vigilant for militant activity, report all suspicious objects or behavior to the police, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities.
