Supporters of former President Jacob Zuma plan to stage protests in the Parktown suburb of Johannesburg (Gauteng province) on Monday morning (local time), July 15. Zuma is scheduled to appear at an official inquiry into state capture from Monday through Friday, July 19. Hundreds of protesters are expected to gather at Pieter Roos Park. Police erected barricades near the court building at Hillside House and associated transportation disruptions, including along Empire Road, Victoria Avenue, and St. Andrews Road, are expected through Monday.


Jacob Zuma is scheduled to appear before the judicial panel to answer questions pertaining to allegations that he facilitated corruption during his tenure as president from 2009 to 2018.
