The Peruvian Medical Federation (FMP) is planning to hold a 48-hour nationwide strike from Wednesday, July 17, through Thursday, July 18. Doctors and other medical professionals have announced they will participate in the work stoppage. Other health service disruptions, including longer wait times, are likely in the coming days. Associated demonstrations are also possible.
