Activists to protest deep-sea drilling in Kingston July 23; disruptions possible

Members of Greenpeace International are slated to protest on Tuesday, July 23, at Kingston Harbour to denounce planned deep-sea drilling in the country. The activists will dock their ship outside the International Seabed Authority's (ISA) annual meeting.

Further disruptions are expected until the protest is called off. Associated protests are possible over the coming days.  


Individuals in Kingston are advised to monitor developments to the situation, anticipate disruptions to port operations, and to avoid all public demonstrations as a precaution.
