Officials at Amsterdam International Airport Schiphol (AMS) announced at 22:15 (local time) on Wednesday, July 24, that an outage affecting the aircraft fuel supplier had ended and that some flight operations were resuming. The outage resulted in roughly 250 flight delays and 440 cancelations on Wednesday; authorities indicated that hundreds of previously canceled flights would not depart until Thursday, July 25. 

Airport authorities have advised individuals scheduled to fly via AMS over the coming hours to confirm flight reservations and contact their airline for more information.


An outage affecting the aircraft fuel supplier at Amsterdam International Airport Schiphol (AMS) resulted in severe flight disruptions on July 24. According to Eurocontrol officials, AMS's fuel supplier experienced electrical issues with its systems and had been unable to provide the fuel needed to facilitate the departure of flights.
