Protesters to show solidarity with Colombian protesters in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich July 25; transportation disruptions expected

Protesters are slated to protest on Thursday, July 25, in solidarity with Colombian protesters against the targeted killings of social and human rights leaders in Colombia. Events are scheduled in Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich.

Protesters in Berlin will meet at 15:30 (local time) at Dorothea-Schlegel-Platz and will march to the Colombian Embassy.

Protesters in Frankfurt will gather at 18:00 at the Euro sign's platform.

Protesters in Munich will gather at 17:00 at Max-Joseph-Platz.

Associated transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are expected in the vicinity of the protest.

Context

A national mobilization has been called in Colombia. The protest, under the title "Defendamos la Paz" (defend peace), will take place in 28 cities in Colombia on July 26.
