Media reports indicate that Malawian Airlines cabin crew is currently staging a sit-in protest at Kamuzu International Airport (LLW) in Lilongwe, causing departure delays on Wednesday, July 31. Passengers are allegedly stranded at the airport, with no information as to when or if flights will be serviced today.

Significant flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are expected over the coming several hours, until cabin crew resumes operations.

Individuals flying into or out of LLW are advised to keep abreast of the situation, confirm flight itineraries before leaving for the airport, and anticipate disruptions to airport operations.
