North Korea reportedly launched an unidentified projectile into the Sea of Japan early (local time) on Friday, August 2, according to US military sources. Further information was not immediately reported.

Similar North Korean launches are possible over the coming days.  


If confirmed, this would mark North Korea's third short-range ballistic missile launch over a two-week period, including on July 25 and 31.
