Security staff represented by Union Unite is slated to strike at London Gatwick Airport (LGW) for 48 hours starting Saturday, August 10. An estimated 130 employees are to walk out as of 06:00 (local time) with the intention of causing travel disruptions, though authorities at LGW claim flights should not be impacted.

Long security wait times and processing, as well as other disruptions to airport operations, are to be expected during the strike.
