Activists across the country have organized several protests to denounce two recent mass shootings on Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8.

On Wednesday, August 7, President Trump is expected to visit the two cities impacted by mass shootings on Saturday, August 3, in El Paso, Texas and on Sunday, August 4, in Dayton, Ohio. Protesters are expected to gather in both cities to call for gun control measures and protest government response to the events. Though no precise details were immediately available, protests are likely near the crime scenes and possibly near city hall offices.

On Thursday, August 8, walk outs are planned in Los Angeles, California at 12:00 (local time), El Paso, Texas, at 13:00 (local time), Austin, Texas, at 14:00 (local time), and in Washington, DC, at 15:00. Walk outs are expected to last two hours and other urban centers are likely to hold them.

Associated localized transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are expected in the vicinity of all protests, especially so in El Paso and Dayton.
