The Alternativa Sindical union has called an indefinite strike for metro security personnel in Madrid starting Tuesday, August 13, to denounce delays in bonus payments. The strike is scheduled to start at 06:00 (local time). Around 550 workers responsible for the security on lines 7 and 9 are expected to participate to the strike.

Transportation disruptions are to be expected during the strike period, along with higher demand for alternative modes of transportation.
