A police operation is ongoing in the Waikato area of North Island as 14:45 (local time) on Friday, August 16, after a tourist was shot and killed near Raglan. According to the initial police report, the suspect carjacked the victim on Whaanga road at approximately 03:20. Police later found the vehicle and the victim later in the morning on Gordonton road. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and police officials are appealing for anyone with information to contact the authorities. Remain vigilant.
