Government employees in the judiciary, public prosecutors, and security forces are slated to protest a bill approved by the Federal Senate that criminalizes the abuse of authority on Monday, August 19, Tuesday, August 20, and on Friday, August 23. Protesters call upon President Bolsonaro to veto the bill and argue that the bill does not protect against abuse of power but will instead encourage corruption and motivate organized criminal groups.

While exact locations and times were not immediately available, protests should be expected in the vicinity of government and legislative offices.
