Several civil society groups have called for a demonstration and a mass in Manila on Tuesday, August 20, to protest the killing of innocent by-standers in military operations. Participants plan to gather on Mendiola street, although organizers did not immediately announce a time. Organizers have also called for a mass in Santa Cruz Church at 14:00 (local time) in remembrance of the victims. Other protests are expected in Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, and Masbate.
