On Wednesday, August 21, GMB Union officials announced that upcoming strike action slated to take place on Thursday, August 22, Saturday, August 24, and Thursday, August 29, at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL) will be suspended. Union members are expected to vote on August 22 to suspend the strike, following two days of successful contract negotiations. As such, normal operations are expected on the abovementioned dates, although disruptions cannot be ruled out.
Potentially impacted travelers are advised to monitor developments to the situation and confirm flight reservations prior to leaving for the airport.
