Leaders from the USO and Sitcpla unions representing Spain-based Ryanair cabin crew members confirmed on Tuesday, August 20, that ten days of strikes in September will be carried out. Crew members will strike on September 1, 2, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, and 29. The unions confirmed the work stoppages on Tuesday after several hours of mediated negotiations with Ryanair management ended without a deal. Further talks are possible in the coming days. Flight disruptions, including delays and cancelations, are possible if the strikes are held.

Cabin crew members in Spain announced the strikes on August 14 after Ryanair confirmed plans to shut down bases in Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Ryanair management also said that it is still deciding whether or not to close down the base in Girona.

Potentially impacted travelers are advised to monitor developments to the situation, confirm the status of their flights prior to departure for all Ryanair flights in Spain, and to contact the airline for more information.
