Elected representatives, including the Councilor for the Gabba, Jonathan Siri, and Queensland MP for Maiwar, Michael Berkman, are calling for a march in Brisbane on Wednesday, August 28, to defend the right to protest and free speech. Protesters are expected to gather at 08:00 (local time) at the intersection of Queen Street and Edward Street, before heading to the Parliament House.

A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are to be expected along the march route. Associated business disruptions are possible.
