Police are responding to reports of an active shooter situation in Midland and Odessa (Texas state) as of 16:40 (local time) on Saturday, August 31. Two active shooters have been reported by the Midland Police Department as driving in separate vehicles; one of the shooters may be at a Home Depot store in Odessa. Unconfirmed reports claim 30 people have been shot in connection to the active shooter situation in two separate locations in Midland and Odessa. The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) campus has been put on lockdown.
