Rescue operations are ongoing in the Wilrijk district of Antwerp on the evening (local time) of Tuesday, September 3, after a gas explosion destroyed three homes and injured several people. The cause of the blast, which occurred at approximately 12:30 (local time), remains unclear. Police have cordoned off the area as emergency personnel seek to free victims from beneath the rubble.
