A student union plans to strike and protest against climate change on Friday, September 27. Participants are due to gather at 12:00 (local time) in several locations, including: 

  • Barcelona: Plaça Universitat 
  • Malaga: Plaza de la Constitución
  • Seville: Plaza Nueva
  • Valencia: Facultat d'Història (Avinguda Blasco Ibáñez 28)
  • Salamanca: Plaza de los Bandos
  • Palma de Mallorca: Plaça del Tub

Protests are planned in several other major urban areas throughout the country. Students in Madrid also plan to protest at 12:00 on Sunday, September 29, although organizers did not immediately announce a location. A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions are expected near all protest sites.
