Palestinian stabbing attack leaves two Israelis wounded near Azzun (West Bank) September 7; similar attacks possible over near term

A Palestinian teenager reportedly stabbed and wounded two Israelis near Azzun (West Bank) on Saturday, September 7. The assailant turned himself in to the Palestinian Authority's security service following the attack.

Similar attacks are possible in the West Bank over the near term.  


Individuals in Israel and the Palestinian Territories are advised to monitor developments to the situation and expect a heightened security presence in the affected area. Due to the underlying terrorist threat, travelers in Israel, West Bank, and the Gaza Strip are advised to report any suspicious objects or behavior to the authorities. Some Western governments advise their citizens against all travel to the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and areas near the Israeli-Lebanese, Israeli-Syrian, and Israeli-Egyptian borders.
