Unions representing Alitalia flight personnel and airport ground staff are planning to hold countrywide 24-hour strikes on Monday, September 23, and on Wednesday, October 9. The work stoppages are due to begin at 00:01 and end at 23:59 (local time) on each day, and is expected to impact domestic and international flights and airport operations across the country.

Flight disruptions, including delays, modified timetables, and last-minute cancelations, are possible during the strike period.
